North Brisbane Junior Eagles

Season 2010!

North Brisbane Junior Eagles is a rugby club that runs teams from under-6 to under-17.

The club fields teams in the Brisbane Junior Rugby Union competitions.

The home ground is Hugh Courtney Oval, Shaw Road, Wooloowin. Training night is Friday night, from 5.30pm.

Annual General Meeting

Norths Juniors AGM will be Sunday 28 February at 5pm. Your attendance is strongly encouraged.

All committee places will be vacated, so if you would like to contribute to your club, please think about nominating. Positions include President, Secretary, Age Coordinators, Media Officer and Canteen helpers.

Dates for 2010 season

Sign on for 2010 will Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January, between 9am and 1pm at the clubhouse.

Training will start on Friday 12 February for U10s to U17s and 12 March for U6 to U9s.

2010 will see new systems for team selection and grading in the older age groups, all under the guidance of our new Director of Rugby and Coaching Coordinator. Any questions, please contact Kerry on 0423 605 703.

Director of Rugby

We are introducing a new structure for coaching and other on-field matters in 2010. We will be introducing our new Director of Rugby soon and explaining the new roles and procedures.

This is all designed to ensure we get the best from our players and volunteers, that team selection is fair and transparent and all that happens on field is in the best interests of our young players.

Resources have been allocated to coach education and coach mentoring, so if you are interested in continuing as a coach or perhaps becoming one, the club will support you in any way it can.

If you interested in coaching, training or assisting you can help the club plan for the season by downloading and completing the coaching nomination form and emailing to Aaron Kirkby.

There is also a coaches' meeting planned for 19 January at Shaw Road clubhouse at 6.30pm.
