Registration Update

Registrations for 2012 to date have seen a resounding increase in numbers of new players. Approximately 60% of the 230+ registered players over two registration days (only) are new players. So BE QUICK TO GET YOUR REGISTRATION FORMS IN before the end of the first training night (after your training session).

This supports Norths growth as the premier family club on the Northside

Team Managers Needed

Norths Junior Eagles makes all attempts to select and appoint its qualified coaches and managers by the end of the year preceding its next rugby season. While this is the aim it will be appreciated that this is always not possible (for example, 40% of this year’s players are new to the Club). Hence, the need for additional appointments.

The Management Committee of North Brisbane Junior Rugby Club (NBJRC) calls on all members and supporters to volunteer their services as Team Managers for the 2012 season. The role and responsibilities of this position are clearly defined, very rewarding and sometimes challenging. The Team Manager is the leader of the team and ensures the well-being of players while being the guardian of the Club’s and BJRU’s codes of conduct, policies and guidelines.

The position does not require formal training; the Club however will conduct sessions in support of manager’s work as the need arises. It has won a grant from the Department of Communities to conduct sessions which support its volunteers.

Managers will be appointed by the Management Committee on the recommendations of the Director of Rugby, the Director of Coaching and the Registrar.

The Management Committee of North Brisbane Junior Rugby Club has also determined that in 2012 and thereafter nominees for the coach and manager positions in a team will not be appointed from the same family.
